We had been looking forward to our baseball end-of-the-season trip for months. We left on Saturday morning at 7:00 and dropped off a pool sample in Jackson. We made great time to East, Tn. We arrived about 5:00 pm and checked into our hotel-Home 2 Suites. We enoyed a nice dinner with the McGee's at The Smokey Mountain Brewery! We got back to our hotel late. We had to be ready for skills competition at 10:00. It was our 1st time to step foot onto the Ripkin Fields-they were so nice and the complex was beautiful. Taylor enjoyed competing in the "Turn-two" and the "Outfield Drill"--both drills, he played 1st base! Then, we had the Opening Ceremonies with Bret Saberhagen as the speaker.
