Happy Halloween 2015

We enjoyed a great Halloween this year. We started the morning off with Taylor's last regular season football game in the rain. It was a super fun time. We played on the Varsity BCS football field. Taylor had a good game and got many tackles and a fumble recovery! We lost, but we also learned we made it into the playoffs. After football, we had a playdate with Luke and Molly. We hosted the girls and the boys went to The McGee's. We all met back at our house about 4:30 for Sante Fe Soup and pumpkin carving. We topped off the evening with Trick-or-Treating around the neighborhood-it was our first time in our new neighborhood. It was sooo fun passing out candy, too. We made it over to the McGee's old neighborhood to trick-or-treat at the end of the night.

Nashville Get Away Trip

I took Trey to Nashville for a birthday get away trip. We left as soon as the party was over Sunday evening. We arrived into Nashville at 9:00 and went straight to our favorite place: The Cheesecake Factory in the Green Hills Mall. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner and then headed to The Opryland Hotel. He was so shocked to be staying there. This is where he proposed to me in 2003 and we had to drive back to Memphis that same evening. This time, we were able to stay the night! I had reserved us a room overlooking the atrium and waterfalls! On Monday, we shopped at Green Hills Mall and headed to Franklin to walk around the square. It was a pretty day to be outside. That afternoon, we headed back to the Opryland area and watched a movie. War Room was the best movie and we really enjoyed it! We went back to the hotel to dress up for our dinner reservations at the Old Hickory Steakhouse inside the Opryland Hotel. This is where we ate the night he proposed and we hadn't been back since then. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner and they brought Trey a special birthday dessert! Here are some pictures of our fun!

Trey's Surprise 40th Birthday Party

Sunday couldn't have come fast enough. I had been planning a surprise party for Trey since mid-Sept. I had to keep it from the kids, too. I had so much fun planning this party. I made a few posters for decoration. The picture poster was so fun to create. I took family photos and shaped them into a 4-0. I had a friend make a poster about facts that occurred in 1975, the year he was born. The biggest focal point was the banner. It took me forever to make, but it was worth it! The decorations turned out just like I had wanted and the house looked great. I had family, co-workers and friends come join in on the surprise fun. Here are some pictures from the fun event.

Fall Break-Day 4

Another great day at the ocean. We enjoyed our last morning at the beach building sandcastles as a family! It was so fun. We made our way up to the condo about lunchtime and ate by the pool . The older two enjoyed the lily pads and both made it across without falling in the water. The afternoon was spent at the pool playing and making memories. We went up to the room early to clean up for dinner. We took family pictures by the water and they turned out very well. We drove into Santa Rosa Beach for dinner. We had the best experience at Stinky's, which is one of our favorite places to eat! We stopped at Alvin's Island for a souvenir and ended our last day of Fall Break with some ice cream! We are headed home in the morning.
