The Brady Blog: Happy 9th Birthday Griffin

We have been looking forward to Griffin’s 9th birthday ever since we finished Caroline’s Bday! God blessed us with beautiful weather and I even was up early enough to see the sun rise! Griffin started his day with 9 balloons blown up on his bedroom floor and 9 helium ballons tied in his room! For breakfast, Dad and Griffin rose to pick up donuts (1st meal out) from Jin’s! Yummy! We went on a bike ride and enjoyed Caroline’s gift to Griffin- a BiRtHdAy ScAvEnGeR HuNt!! He enjoyed finding candy all over the house! Griffin and I got outside to shoot baskets with his new ball and net He had worn the tread off the ball and holes in his net! It was about lunchtime and the Bday Boy picked Zaxby’s (2nd meal out). Dad was so sweet to run and pick it up! We enjoyed lunch and the. singing to Griffin! Before we enjoyed cookie cake, we went around and talked about why we love Griffin- it was the highlight of the day. Griffin is so sensitive that he cried. After lunch, we rode bikes and flew his new kite( he was not interest but Dad enjoyed it). Then at 4:00, Grammie and Gram made a surprise appearance! He was so excited. We ate dinner with them at 5:00- Booyas Nachos! Trey went to pick it up with Papa(3rd meal out). When they returned, we surprised Griffin with his new bike! Papa had picked it up in Jackson for us! He took off and loved his bike. Then, 6:15 arrived and we heard horns! It was Griffin’s birthday parade! He was so excited and enjoyed it...but also a little overwhelmed. He had 5 buddies school: John, JD, Cole, Breck Hurley, Oliver and Luke! The. Hudson came late. From G’s baseball team, he had Christian, Noah, Landon, Caden, Cooper and Breck! But, Mrs. Powell really stole the show and had a UT foam finger! After that, Griffin opened a few presents from The grandparents: money from Gram and desk chair from Grammie. We wrapped up day by watching Thunderstruck with Kevin Durant-it was so good! We paused for ice cream in the middle. It was a super fun day!
