Griffin Starts Competitive Baseball

Last night, Griffin had his 4th straight day of tryouts. We ended with the Dragons at their indoor facility! Coach Jason lined up Griffin a private tryout with only four boys. The coach called us only an hour after the tryout was over to offer us a spot. Griffin was the #1 of those four boys! They commented on his great defense (fielding and throwing). We immediately called Jason at 9:00 to weigh out our options. Griffin had made three teams (The Rays, Batters Box & Dragons). Jason began to sell us on why the Dragons would be a great fit for our family- the big reasons were access to indoor facility, buying only 1 team’s gear and convenience of the practice field! We ran upstairs to wake Griffin and ask him, but he never fully woke up. I felt better having tried to ask him...but in the end, Trey and I chose the Collierville Dragons bc it’s a great fit for our family! Trey called back Travis Bright and had a super conversation with him telling him we would accept the spot! Fast forward to the next morning. Trey and I took Griffin to Chick-fil-a to talk it over baseball with him! Griffin was so excited to be a Dragon like Taylor! Here he is after learning the news!
