Day 4

We started the day waking up tired! We had another early game time. We played Dacalua Elite from Atlanta at 8:30. We arrived just in time for the 1st pitch. We played in the very back of the complex. It was a very close game. The rain came in the middle of the game, but the boys played through it. We were leading 7-1... then the team came back to tie and then go ahead of us.  We ended up beating the team who has been favored to be at top of standings when this week is over... They were the best team we’ve faced, by far. Again, we were up 7-1... and slowly let Decalua catch up and lead 8-7 at bottom of 6th . We were the home team.  Taylor was first batter up in bottom of 6th ....he was facing a FULL count and then got a line drive to Left-center.  Taylor’s single tied the game 8-8. He was so excited to be on base! Taylor then stole second and scored on next Ari’s single.  Tied 8-8.  Next kid reached on error by 3rd baseman. Next batter, Tanish flies to deep center. Now runners on 2nd and 3rd.  Next kid got out.  Then, we had  two outs.  Next batter up was Tyler and he half swung and the ground ball went to their SS and he beat it out!  Our runner on 3rd scored for 9-8 victory!! The boy’s went crazy! After celebrating, we ate lunch at Redneck’s! Then back to the field for our 1:00 game vs Lake Forrest Scouts from Illinois. We won our 1:00 game 14-2. Taylor got hit by a pitch on his funny bone and did stay in and score! Then, the medic came out to check on him. He seemed hurt but okay-gave him ice. He made his last at bat, but grounded out. Headed back to the field for our 5:00 game- it is televised. Taylor was starting on the mound.
