Dragons at Gameday

Taylor’s 13U team played today at Gameday! We all got to cheer the boys on vs West TN Bruins. Taylor got two walks and two steals...scoring both at base appearances!

Happy Father’s Day, Trey

Our weekend was full of baseball! Trey’s gift was a tent from Academy. We needed a new one for our hot weekend at the ballpark! We were in Oxford all day Saturday with Griffin-1 Day Tournament. Trey took Taylor to his game early Sunday morning vs The Gamers. We lost and were done by noon...they swung by Academy and picked up G’s new bike. We enjoyed grilled hot dogs, chip-n-salsa and potatoes salad for lunch. We had a long afternoon in the pool- it was a pretty day! Here are some pictures of the day!

Griffin’s Last Baseball Tournament 2020

Following Covid-19, Griffin only enjoyed 3 tournaments. Today, he had his last baseball tournament in Oxford, which happened to be 1 day only. He left for Oxford at 7:45 and arrives at 9. His 1st game was against The Ms Magic. We won. Then, we played at 1:00 vs Big League Wildcats. We won the game. We headed to Lost Pizza with a few teammates and their parents! Once back to the field, we watched The Bombers bs EBC. Our pool play games were over and The Dragons bracket game was against The Magic. We took a while to get going and both teams were battling. We won on a walk-off by Brett Munier- so fun. The championship game followed at 7:30 vs EBC- Brigance ( Breck Hurley’s team). The Dragons played hard and went ahead early 6-0, but they came storming back and beat us by 1 run. Here are some pictures of G’s last tournament following his 1st competitive season!

#22 on the Bump

Taylor’s team made it into the Championship Game. We beat the Gamers when it counted in the Semi- Finals! We had lost to them on Friday. Taylor started on the bump in the championship game vs a super team- Mphs Tigers Peeler. Taylor got a awesome single in his 1st at bat vs a really fast pitcher. Here are some pictures of Taylor!

Saturday at the Ballpark

We woke early and headed to Snowden to watch Griffin play vs the Rawlings Tigers! Griffin had the best game at 3rd base. He blocked one up and made a perfect throw to 1st for the out...he had a pop fly and caught it for an out and one more hard ball that he fielded for the out! He hit well too. We rushed off to see Taylor at Gameday vs a team from Southern Illinois! Taylor won 6-1...he had an awesome hit to left field and many scoops at 1st! Both boys won today! We got home about 5:00–

Big Weekend of Baseball!

Taylor started the weekend off at Gameday! He had a special game time- 2:00 in the day! Trey took off half day and we headed to the ballpark! Griffin plays at Snowden at 6:00 pm! Gram and Papa came into town to watch the boys play! We went out to dinner tonight after the game to Pyros-what a fun day!! Then we came home to night swim!

The girls had so much fun yesterday making videos! They made a m&m cookie video, a smoothie video and make-up video!!! The girls enjoyed a long night swim and pizza outside by the pool! Here are some pictures of the sleep-over!

Sunday on the Field

Taylor played again til 1:00 am ...late into the night for  his 2nd tournament in a row! Taylor played two games on Sat and won them both! Griffin played and went 1-1. Moving to Sunday, Taylor played at 12:00 in Snowden. Good thing, this way he could sleep in. Griffin and I had a VERY early departure from the house...we left for Oxford at 6:50. Griffin had the 1st game vs EBC at 9. We were losing but staying in the game. Griffin hit an In-THE-PaRK Homerun to tie the game and send it into extra innings! We ended up winning 22-17! It was the best game.... The Bombers were there and all the moms saw Griffin’s hit- many people were kind and told G that is was a great hit! After the game, Trey got to stay for a lol time and hang out at Lost Pizza

. The whole team at lunch from 11-12:30- we enjoyed the AC! I sat with Amber & John Bourgeois and Alicia Griffith! Lunch was tasty...Trey left for Snowden shortly after arriving to catch Taylor’s game 12:40 game- too bad Taylor only played 1 game this Sunday! Griffin next game was at 2:00 vs Mphs Tigers- Clothier (Cole’s team)...we got slaughtered 0-11. Griffin’s only hit was a rocket to SS- the coach‘s son. It was a good play. On defense, Griffin made a super throw to homeplate, but Drake dropped it. It was a good tournament back  Here are some pictures of our day! 

Griffin’s 1st Tournament Back

We are so excited that Griffin’s team finally gets to play some baseball. It is their 1st tournament back after quarantine! They play in Oxford at 3 and 4! The best part is that Trey, Caroline and me can all watch! Taylor plays in Snowden and The McGees are taking him!
