A Super Quarantine Day

Today has been a great day! I woke up bright and early ready to finish my projects! I completed my 1st door hanger ever! It’s my new obsession! I made a baseball/softball! My favorite is the ribbon-too cute! After completing this, I jumped into my next project: Griffin’s Baby Book! I finally started on it again during the quarantine! He had three pages, but after today, he has a FULL book up to 12 months! I am so excited to say that I have finished all 3 Baby Book!
Also to day was special because the kids helped Caroline start her Science Project on Kinetic Energy! Taylor said, “I love this stuff, I am running up to design a lego to help hold the ramp! This is why I want to be an engineer when I grow up!!” Age 13.5.
Here are some pictures!

Last night, these two made homemade donuts!

Griffin’s Class and Zoom

Griffin gets to zoom two times a week! It continues to be the highlight of our week. They play games each week and Mrs. Powell does a great job making it fun! Today, she surprised the kids with a wacky dress up day! Here are some pictures!

Happy 12th Birthday Caroline

We have been looking forward to Caroline’s birthday for weeks and it finally arrived!! Trey and I wanted to make it extra special since we are all quarantined inside our houses, so we had a company place signs in the yard that read ‘Happy 12th Birthday Caroline’! I woke up at 5:30 to begin everything! I started with her breakfast: chocolate pancakes and bacon. After breakfast, Caroline changes into her new Nike shorts and softball T-shirt. I told her to help me with the blinds about 7:50 before school started...that is when she noticed her 1st surprise! She had a Happy Birthday sign in the yard! She was shocked and ran to the door to go outside and see more!
Then, she started online learning at 8. Mr. Shirey and Mrs Clarkson had classmates sing to her! After school, I grilled out hamburgers and hotdogs for lunch. We had her cake and all sang! She called her grandparents and shared her morning with them. Then finally at 2:00, the surprise parade happened! Caroline was so shocked again....she said later that she doesn’t like to be the center of attention. I’d rather do it for someone else! After the parade, the Brenner’s came late and we got to visit! That was fun too. We took a quick bike ride and sat by the pool, then Trey had his meeting tonight. Before he went upstairs, Caroline had one more request: movie and ice cream! We started A Dog’s Journey!
It was a great movie. We all enjoyed our ice cream and Trey was done with his Pastor Search Comittee meeting by 8:30. We began bedtime and gave C her last gift- a giraffe that she found at the Noah’s Ark! Fun was had by all today and another great birthday celebrated!

Caroline was so excited about her Echo Dot!

Week 3 of Quarantine

We have fallen into a nice little schedule for our time at home. Trey has officially moved his office upstairs. We see him about lunch and then again at dinner! We are still really enjoying eating around the table at night and I am cooking a ton! The older kids are starting this week with a new schedule of online learning from 8-12 only. It has been nice. Griffin is doing well taking quizzes and test online, but I have had to resubmit 2x...who knows. It’s like a dance keeping up with everything. Mrs. Powell has been wonderful and understanding! We usually go on a daily walk/bike ride about 2:30 after we all finish lunch. We kick off dinner about 4:00 and try to get back outside before bed! Last night, we played Kam Jam for the 1st time this Spring!
