Super Sunday

Today, we started at Gameday for Griffin’s 9:15 game vs Batters Box and Rick robinson’s team. We beat them by a couple of runs...it was too close. We made some errors because it was still early. Griffin had two super hits: a single, a triple and a Homerun! The Bombers played right after us, so the whole crew crowded in early to watch Griffin. We all headed home for homework and lunch. Trey went to the grocery, while I helped at home. As soon as Trey returned, he and Taylor headed to Snowden for Taylor’s 1:00 game- they won and Taylor got a hit and RBI. We had plans to drop Griffin at Coach Bright’s for his 3:00 game, but I realized that we left G’s bag at Gameday. So, me and the kids hustle back and found his bag right where I left it. I got G settled to watch the Rays, while Caroline and I went to her softball game at 2:30. They got beat badly and she had to play catcher- she came away with a large bruise on her thigh. Following her game, we rushed back to Gameday to finish up G’s game- Dragons vs. Bandits. It was a super close game... we had extra innings. Our defense buckled down and Griffin got the final out tracking a hit to the outfield- He caught a super catch to win the game in a close one. Caroline and I jumped up and down! We were so proud! They made it to the championship game vs Satillio Storm. They were good and we lost. Trey and Taylor made in back to see the game! We all reunited at Gameday just sad we came up short. Dinner at Freddy’s, showers and then quick to bed by 8:30. Here are pictures from our 11 games in 3 days! Competitive sports aren’t for the faint at heart!

Caroline’s 1st Volleyball Clinic

We enrolled Caroline in a volleyball clinic at Metro this Fall. It is located on Hwy 64, near the mall. She and Victoria signed up together and carpooled each week. It was on Saturday and Sunday each week for 8 weeks. I think she really learned a lot about the sport. Not sure she loves it, but at least she was introduced to the sport.

Griffin’s 2nd Grade Flag Football Picture

This is Griffin’s second year to play Flag Football in the Grace Evan League. He has Coach McElveen and Coach Carpender and the same boys on his team. He plays center on offensive and safety on defense. We are proud of his hard work. His heels have given him some trouble this year,  it he is staying strong. Go # 44.

Caroline’s 1st Softball Game

We started our day at Taylor’s baseball game at 9, but he lost. Then, Griffin went to his baseball practice, but the excitement of the day was on our girl!! Caroline was full of smiles leading up to her 1st game. She played at 2:30, so we didn’t make volleyball. Her she is in her new Fury softball jersey. She had was 3-3. She played 3rd base, LF and 1st base. She stopped a line drive at 1st and got the runner out. Here are some pictures of their 13-11 win over The Storm.
