Caroline’s Ear Piercing

We have been talking since her bday in April about getting her ears pierced. We made today the day! We went to Merle Norman’s in Germantown for the fun... the lady there was so patient! I was so proud of her for pushing through! They did the left first, then the right! Here are some pictures of the big event!

She got her ears pierced at age 11-

Leaving Kanab and Red Rock- Day 6

We left Kanab about 11:00, heading back to Las Vegas. We stopped in St. George, Utah at Jimmy John’s for a yummy lunch. I leave tomorrow about 7am headed back to Memphis- I miss my babies! We arrived back in Vegas about 3:00 and checked into a much smaller hotel near the  airport! We quickly left the hotel and headed out to see Red Rock Canyon! It was a nice drive outside Vegas- about 30 min away. We enjoyed the views and a nice loop through the canyon! We then enjoyed a nice dinner at Juan’s Flaming Fajitas! Then to the airport to turn in rental car!
We arrived back at the hotel for the night at 9– rising early in the morning for my return trip home!

Grand Canyon- Day 5

We woke about 9:30 and headed to a grocery in Kanab for a few snacks and we gazed up the car. We drove about 1 hour and 45 min to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. We started out on a small hike but the elevation and breathing were tough. There were some very steep spots, too. Trey started feeling bad and we headed back to the lodge. We rested and the returned to Kanab about 2:30.

Hoover Dam and Zion Park- Day 4

We started our day with an Uber ride to the airport about 8:45. We picked up the car about 9:00 and drove straight to a gas station for waters and a snack. We arrived at Hoover Dam’s bridge! We walked across and looked down at the dam! It was a huge bridge and very high up! We then drove on down to the Dam tour! It was about 45 min long tour and included a video and a elevator ride down 500 feet below to observe the generators! Then the guided tour was over and we walked across the Dam into Arizona! It was very hot, but the views of Lake Mead were breathtaking! Lake Mead is the largest man-made lake in US. Here are some pictures of our tune! We then left and enjoyed lunch at In and Out Burgers, while on the way to St. George’s.

We drove about 2 hours into Utah and visited Zion
National Park. We arrived about 7:25 and left about 8:30pm...we were headed to Kansan, Utah for the night. We left Zion and went the uninhabited route. It was very scary.

Vegas- Day 3

We woke about 9:45 again... both with headaches, so we took it slow. We showered and headed out to  New York, New York Casinos. We enjoyed the atmosphere, complete with roller coaster! We had lunch in a pizzeria. We walked to the Wynn, and saw beautiful flower hot air balloons! Then, we headed to the Encore, which has a Beach Club. We saw a young crowd there. The best part about that was our snack in the lobby- DC and snickers, complete with a FaceTime conversation with our children! It was awesome talking and catching up. After our visits, we headed back to the Hilton for the resort presentation! The bonus was all the free snack.   We quickly changed and headed to the Hard Rock for dinner and our show- The Hard Rock Vault! after dinner, we headed to the Belligio for the waterfall show! It was spectacular! We arrived back to the hotel about 12:00 am.
