Katie and John’s Wedding

We arrived in Jackson about 3:45. We dropped off the gluten free cake and headed to the church to wait. A little waiting on the front end, but finally the wedding started at 5. It was a long, but nice wedding. The reception was at an old hotel and it was top notch. It included a sit down dinner.

Griffin’s Double Header

We arrived back in town just in time for Griffin’s double header and his 1st time with his new Blue Devil Jersey! They played the Arlington Tigers. We won both games and it was very hot! It was a full day bc after the game, we showered and headed to Jackson for Katie and John’s wedding!

Go # 22

Griffin’s solid hit, bounced up and hit an Arlington kid- he was fine,
but it took 4 coaches to check on him. Here he is on 1st base.

Day 12

We woke at 5:00 and hit the road by 6:00 am- leaving. Baltimore! We drove through Virginia- saw lots of signs for colleges and universities! I didn’t realize that VT was in Blacksburg and it is close to Bristol, Tn. We finally reached TN about 12:30 and enjoyed lunch at Chick fil-a. The kids did sleep throughout the 13 hour drive, plus we had a few bathroom breaks.

Day 11

We slept in and made it out about 11:00. We started with lunch at the inner harbor in Baltimore. We enjoyed lunch at the Shake Shack. Then, we rode paddle boats in the Chesapeake Bay. We tried twice to visit Charm City Cakes, but is was closed. We headed back to the hotel for naps. We woke up and headed to Camden Yards, home of the Baltimore Oriels. We had amazing seats in the outfield. All three kids got fouls balls....Taylor actually reached out for his. Here are some pictures of our day with the game being the most exciting part!

Day 10

This morning, we woke up to CLEAN clothes- hooray! Trey and I started a load and he finished and folded them! We all showered and put on clean clothes— the suitcase smell was getting old. We left our hotel (Home 2Suites) and grabbed Hardee’s for a quick b’fast. We battled lots of DC traffic, but we are on schedule for our 10am tour of the Capital with John! We caught John before he left for the wedding. It was extra fun having him lead us around the Capital building! We finished the day enjoying time with Ashton and his family.
